The entrant number, digitally
Printed dash cards curl in the rain and trophy shops want 25-piece minimums. One slot holds the entrant number, class and car as text you retype between shows.
A voting QR in every windscreen
Point the code at your own People's Choice form or entry page. Apex displays it; the voting runs on whatever you already use. Keep the URL short so the code stays easy to read at the glass.
A sponsor slot that gets its turn
The third slot can carry a sponsor's name and handle, rotating next to the entrant details every few seconds instead of covering the glass in vinyl that comes off on Monday.
It works in a field
Load the slots before the gates open and Showcase keeps running with no Wi-Fi at all. Editing on site works too, over Bluetooth from the app, once the panel has been paired.
A show day, with a backup plan
The internal battery is an estimated 6+ hours rather than a measured spec. For gates-open to trophies, hand out a USB-C power bank with each panel and it will run off that all day.
List the show in Apex Calendar
Car shows, meets, cruises and track days with RSVPs and a nearby radius, so people can find it. Posting a public event needs Organiser access, which Apex grants on request.

01Decide what each panel says
Entrant number and class, the voting QR, one sponsor line. Each slot takes up to 96 characters, which is about one line people read as they walk the row.
02Set each panel individually
Panels are paired and edited one at a time, from the Apex app over Bluetooth or from the web panel. There is no bulk tool, so plan the time if you are doing a whole field.
03Hand them out and leave them
Clip-on case on the inside of the glass, rotation set anywhere from 3 to 60 seconds, then nothing. It keeps cycling whether or not the site has coverage.

What signage does a car show need?
Entrant numbers or dash cards on each car, class markers, sponsor boards and something to run the voting. A panel covers the per-car part: number, class, a voting QR and a sponsor line rotating in one place in the glass.
How does QR code voting work at a car show?
You run the vote on your own form or app and put that link behind the QR. The panel displays the code in the windscreen and people scan it standing at the car. Apex does not host or count the voting.
What are dash plaques and dash cards?
Printed cards left on the dash carrying the entrant number, class and show name. A panel does the same job as a screen you retype, which avoids the minimum order quantity and survives the weather better.
Can I update every panel at once?
No. Each panel is paired and edited on its own from the app or the web panel. There is no fleet or bulk-management tool, so budget a minute or two per panel.
Can it run a full show day on battery?
6+ hours is our estimate rather than a measured figure. For a full day from setup to trophies, run each panel off a USB-C power bank, which it is happy to do all day.
Does it work on a field with no signal?
Showcase mode does, because the slots are stored on the panel. You can even change them on site from the app over Bluetooth once the panel has been paired. Docked mode, the clock and weather layout, needs Wi-Fi.
How big is the QR code and how close do people stand?
It is about 21 mm across on a 2.79-inch panel, so it is a walk-up-and-scan code at roughly arm's length, not one people read from across the field. Short links make a less dense code that scans faster.
Can I list my show in the Apex Calendar?
Public events are supported — car show, car meet, cruise or track day, with RSVPs and a nearby radius — but posting one needs Organiser access, which Apex grants on request rather than through a signup form. You also need a paired panel to use the calendar.
